The plant consists of two gas turbines of type GT11N2-LBTU installed in two separate shaft trains. Each shaft train consist of: GT, high pressure fuel gas compressor, low pressure fuel gas compressor and one generator. Each GT is followed by a diverter dumper, a by-pass stack and a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG).
The GT main fuel is a blast furnace gas produced in the blast furnace of the steel production process in an adjacent steel mill.
The power plant also includes a steam turbine which receives both the steam produced by the two HRSG (downstream the gas turbine) and the steam produced by the cocking plant in the steel mill.
